The Draft Horse Show is another of the oldest events in Old Home Week’s history. Watch the large breeds of Belgians, Clydesdales, Shires, and Percherons contend in a variety of performances and displays. The horses, some of which weigh more than 1800 pounds, command dignity as they compete independently or in teams of up to 8, as in the 6- or 8-horse hitch class, which has been known to draw a capacity crowd each year.
